What’s On in Mullingar
🏰 Medieval Living History at Belvedere House
On Sunday 10 August from 12 pm to 4 pm, Belvedere House will step back in time with knights, archery displays, craft demonstrations, and medieval games. The grounds will be alive with re-enactors cooking over open fires, showing off armour, and sharing the ways of the Middle Ages—minus the plague and dodgy dentistry.
It’s family-friendly, packed with history, and set against one of Mullingar’s most beautiful backdrops. Admission is €10 for adults, €8 for seniors and students, and €6 for children (0–18).

🎶 Ruaile Buaile live at The Chambers Bar
On Sunday 10 August at 7 pm, Ruaile Buaile bring their lively traditional Irish tunes and storytelling to The Chambers Bar on Mount Street. If you like your music with a side of craic and toe-tapping beats, this is your Sunday sorted. Perfect for winding down the weekend — or kicking it off early if you’re feeling rebellious. Book tickets here.
🧘 Sound Therapy Healing Session
On Wednesday 6 August in the evening, you can unwind with a sound therapy healing session along Delvin Road. Think relaxing tones, guided relaxation, and a perfect midweek reset for anyone who’s already halfway to ‘frazzled.’ Ideal if you want to hit the weekend feeling like a calm cucumber instead of a stressed potato.
